Gürcütepe

Overview

A group of mounds on the south-eastern edge of Şanlıurfa, now largely built over by the modern city. Limestone figurines have come from the site, and excavation at the mound known as Gürcütepe III has run since 2021. The position given is one point in a spread of mounds.
